Peter ’93 and Meredith Gallo to Support Future Students with a Bequest Gift

Peter Gallo ’93 always felt he was destined to attend Saint Anselm College. He looked at other colleges, but this was where he was meant to be. As a psychology major and student-employee in the Admissions Office, he gained confidence, formed lifelong friendships, and developed values that have guided him throughout his life

In gratitude for the transformative experience he had at Saint Anselm—and to help ensure future students continue to have access to the same opportunities he enjoyed—Peter and his wife Meredith have included a planned gift to the College in their will and trust. Their bequest will be funded with cash, real estate, and personal property.

“Saint Anselm was instrumental in my personal growth and development,” Peter says. “We chose this gift because it was easy to add the school to our estate plan during a routine update. Its simplicity, flexibility, and lasting impact were the most attractive features.”

As a student, Peter was involved in the community service program, the Abbey church, and the King Edward Society. Since graduation he has remained involved as an Alumni Class reunion volunteer supporting the annual giving team with the summer T-shirt campaign and by attending alumni events in Washington, D.C.

Peter included the College in his estate plan because of the lasting impact his uncle, Walter Gallo ’58, had on the institution—particularly through his work in the Advancement Office. This gift honors his uncle’s legacy while supporting the College’s future. “It’s so easy to add the College as a beneficiary of your IRA or to add them when you update your will,” he concludes. He hopes others will consider making a planned gift to support future students.
